TESTING SISBELA, MERCADONA'S 5 EURO CREAM. IS IT REALLY VALUED AT €85?
TESTING SISBELA, MERCADONA'S 5 EURO CREAM. IS IT REALLY VALUED AT €85?
Some time ago the news broke: "Mercadona sells an anti-aging cream for 5 euros that costs 85." A real bomb that shook the foundations of high cosmetics. But is Mercadona cream really that good? Will it be a new marketing masterpiece from the Valencian company? Or is it really a super cream at a bargain price? Let's find out…
After a reasonable amount of time after the initial uproar over the news, and after having tried Sisbela Diamond revitalizing regenerating cream, or the 5-euro cream from Mercadona, as it is popularly known, I want to give my opinion and contrasted review of this product.
For the test, I once again enlisted the help of my mother, who, due to her more mature skin, would have to come in handy, or at least that's how they sold it in the newspapers. For the test, and as Mercadona recommends, we apply the cream both day and night to the face and neck. With this gesture, and let's remember, for only €5, Mercadona promises:
- Reduces wrinkles and expression lines.
- Regenerates and rejuvenates.
- Provides smoothness and luminosity to the skin.
Well, after our rigorous test, and after using 1 jar of cream each, I have to say that the results are far from what Mercadona promises... Let's see what the results have been for each of us:
How has the Mercadona cream gone for me?
In my case, I have quite dry skin, I have not noticed any hydration. What's more, I haven't felt my skin hydrated even after an hour of applying the cream. On the contrary, my skin felt slightly oily when using it, a somewhat unpleasant feeling, like when you use an oily cream. In its favor I must say that it has had no adverse effects, that is, I have not noticed that spots or imperfections appeared on me, as I had read in other opinions of the cream.
How has the Mercadona cream gone for my mother?
For my mother, the ordeal has gone even worse. Although the cream is especially suitable for her skin, from the first use, and despite avoiding the eye contour area, she noticed a burning sensation in her eyes.
From then on, it's all bad, since not only has he not noticed the part that "regenerates and rejuvenates", that is, the treatment part. The part that attenuates wrinkles and expression lines, that is, what should be noticed after a few uses of the cream, is also not noticeable at any time.
As you can see, in our case, the experience with Mercadona's 5-euro cream has been a disaster.
Investigating a little more, I came to this post on a blog: Mercadona's €5 cream (the mystery of the Holy Trinity solved). In it, they investigate a little more in depth the subject of the manufacturer and ingredients, it is not wasted.
In short, it seems like a new master move by Mercadona, achieving with shocking headlines that everyone runs like crazy to look for the cream on their shelves, as they have already achieved with other products. In short, we should not believe everything they sell us. For my part, I will continue spending a little more because I don't play with my skin, and you? Tell me about your experience with this cream.
I have also tried the famous Cien de Lidl cream... I have to say that I had to interrupt the test, after coming to light that it contains parabens and the controversy that has been generated with the issue of ingredients and covert advertising. I will tell you about this in another post.
